For this production of my music video both Lauren and I had separate roles in for the production and editing the video. My participation for this music video was to film every bit of footage needed for the video and to make sure that the footage being recorded linked to the lyrics of the song so we had a narrative convention as we found this was one of the main things our target audience found successful in pop music videos. The footage which has been used for this music video included recent footage and older footage however, all of the clips used were relevant. Once I had all the footage I had to edit certain parts of the scenes out because it was irrelevant to our music video such as the noise in the background of the footage as I had to replace the audio with the background track of Single Ladies. After I had finished editing the footage I had recorded I made sure that the timing of each clip of footage also linked with the words of the song playing in the background to help secure knowing I had followed the key conventions of form and genre of a narrative convention. After all the clips of footage linked up with the write words from the song I made sure that it all ran smoothly and that each of the different footage scene linked in to make sure that it looked like all the footage hadn't been edited.
